Catherine Roe received her early training in San Antonio, Texas, with Scott Conway, Roxanna Pena, and Buddy and Susan Trevino at the San Antonio School for the Performing Arts and spent summers with the Joffrey Workshop Texas and Texas Ballet Theater. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Texas Christian University (TCU), where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet with an emphasis in Educational Studies. While at TCU, she had the opportunity to perform a number of works, notably as Mauve Girl in Gerald Arpino's Birthday Variations, exerpts of Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, and Napoli, as well as George Balanchine's Serenade and original choreography by Li-Chou Cheng. In addition to her performance experience, Catherine presented her original choreography and also served TCU's Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society as Director of Community Outreach and Public Relations and produced the annual AIDS Outreach Center Benefit Concert. After graduating from TCU, she joined Ballet San Antonio, where she danced in Gabriel Zertuche's Dracula and The Nutcracker, and Ben Stevenson's Romeo and Juliet. Catherine returned to Dallas/Fort Worth in the summer of 2015 to work for TACA (The Arts Community Alliance) and continues to perform and teach throughout the Metroplex.
